#EldarSociety Eldar Society: The Magistrate
The Magistrate is the head of Civil Matters within Eldarnórë. The role of the Magistrate is to oversee the National Assembly, help further political and diplomatic relations as well as run the justice system within Eldarnórë.
The Magistrate's sphere of influence is the Warband as a National Entity.
It is the responsibility of the Magistrate to co-ordinate and over see the Legates of each Chapter, as well as the Devoted.
The Magistrate outranks the Legates in responsibility as well as final say when needed.
The Magistrate acts in a similar fashion within the Devoted to how ICano works within the Eldar Military.
The Magistrate is an elected official voted for by the Citizens. The Magistrate's term is a period of 12 months. After said period the position of Magistrate is voted upon in the next National Assembly.
Citizens can be put up for nominations to be Magistrate by any members of Eldarnórë.
However this nomination must be accepted by the nominated Citizen to be put forward in the actual election.
This nomination must be made publicly on a Facebook post made by the current Magistrate. This post will be put on the Eldarnórë Facebook Page. The Previous Magistrate is automatically re-nominated for the next
election.
The Magistrate may be elected from any Pillar within the Eldar Military. Upon becoming Magistrate, they remain part of that pillar. However they are no longer allowed to hold rank within Eldar Military.
The Magistrate is also to be the moderator of The Assembly of Representative's Facebook Page.
They are also to be present on all Chapter Facebook Pages.
